Not a bad idea. Wasn't BD a fan favorite in the QC when he played here?
Also, for the PF issues, I added in Lex for us and Craig Smith for them. IDK if they'd do it, but it makes it a lot easier to do for me.
Alright, I know there will be some people here who hate this trade because it involves trading crash. As far as I am concerned, on a 35 win team there isnt an untradeable player. Gerald Wallace has had a lot of time here to be the centerpiece and ya know, its not working.
Bobcats get:
Marcus Camby ($9.15 Mil. and an expiring contract)
Baron Davis ($12.1 Mil. and 4 years left)
Clippers get:
Gerald Wallace ($9.5 Mil. and 3 years left)
DJ Augustin ($2.4 Mil. and 2 years left)
Tyson Chandler($11.7 Mil. and 2 years left)
The trade gives us a few things. We get to get rid of Chandler who I said from the beginning was overrated and only an all-star because of Chris Paul in NO. We get rid of DJ who is an undersized pg who has a tendency to dribble the ball too much and is a defensive liability. We also get rid of Gerald Wallaces contract. I like him fine, but if he is our #1 guy, then we arent going anywhere. As far as the way it helps us it give us two things. We have a REAL inside prescence who is a defensive minded big guy and can help us out for the remainder of the season. Then that money is freed up in the offseason. It also give us a bigger PG who can score and who is also a good defensive player averaging over 2 steals per game. Do I like that contract being 4 more years... debateable.
Here is what our lineup would like like:
PG - Baron Davis
SG - Stephen Jackson
SF - Boris Diaw
PF - Derrick Brown
C - Marcus Camby
The only thing is that I would love to improve at the 4 position. I think Derrick Brown has a good bit of talent and could play big for us, but is he a starter? He has to play better D than Diaw. I think the trade also gives us a chance to give Gerald Henderson more blow during the game. We have to see what he can do, and 3 minutes a game just isnt gonna cut it. He was the #12 pick in the draft. You draft people so that they can help you, so lets give him that opportunity.
I know its a different sort of an idea. But I am interested to hear some thoughts.

Couldn't agree more about TC but about Camby being a "REAL" inside presence i assume you mean defensively. He's not a low post threat but he can hit the occasional 12-15ft out. This would also mean benching Felton which is a brilliant idea because you know what ESPN were right(once) Felton is a backup at best, a very good one but a backup nonetheless.
Its no way in hell i would want to take on BDs contract right now. Talk about handcuffing us . I like BD but hes ageing out and his contract really sucks . Camby would be a rental just like TC .
So to me it looks like we giving up two pieces of value for no real value in return.
I might consider DJ , Wallace for Kamann and fillers
Thanks Ammofan!
Come on teej DJ decent value . You know that.
Try this a little less invested .

Bass and Foyle for DJ and Lexy
Orlando does this to keep team chenristy and truble from starting in the locker room.
They all so do it as Insurance for Nelson , He might be back in four more weaks . But it might take all season for him to be able to cut and trust the leg again.
Charlotte does it to get the p/f to back up Diaw, All so can play while Nazz is on the beanch while Diaw plays the five .
Makes a slid back up - starter for the next three years at 4 milion a year
Thanks Ammofan!
^Maybe, but we can't do it till Dec. 15th I think.
And DJ only has value to others. He's shit for us.
We need to do something with the Blazers. http://basketball.realgm.com/src_wir...s_need_bodies/
Przybilla, Blake, Webster for Crash, Nazr, Graham ?
I love everybody on here, but these are all crazy ideas.
Lets not blow up this current team, if what they did in Indy was any indication of what is to come, it would be very bad to destroy it and start over again.![]()
