It is only Top 12 protected this year...impossible to make the playoffs and keep the pick...

At the same time though, yeah it sucks to give up a 1st round pick, but who knows we may be able to splash a big man in the free agents this year, and I have a feeling Diaw is a guy who wouldn't get too upset about coming off the bench for the betterment of the team. Of course Bob Johnson will probably tell LB and MJ they can't sign anyone again...
